Established in 2001 by Marc Schillaci, Oxatis is the result of a long line of companies linked to applications development and the web. Marc had already founded several software and computing services companies before creating one of the first three E-Commerce platforms in the USA in 1997: ebz.com.
With more than 8 years of experience and a bit of patience, Oxatis has become the leading E-Commerce platform in Europe with over 6,500 sites in 5 countries and the recognition of prestigious partners, including some Internet giants such as PayPal, Google, eBay, Shopping.com, Yahoo!, etc.
At Oxatis, the challenge is to develop a complete offer integrating software, hosting and services. On the one hand, it's a technological challenge designed to guarantee very high quality and availability. On the other hand, it's an entrepreneurial challenge dedicated to providing small and medium sized businesses with a means of trading online using an affordable solution that can bring them profits.
This challenge has been met and its success can be seen in the enthusiasm brought on by this offer and the growth experienced by the company: over 400 new sites created every month, 2 million Euros in investment funds raised in May 2008, etc.
The launch of Oxatis Open Enterprise is taking place at a key moment in Oxatis' life. On the one hand, a significant number of customers have reached the million £ milestone in sales and voiced their need of a perfected, more generously proportioned version of the services offered by Oxatis. On the other hand, the reseller network was also able to assess Oxatis' services and called for an offer adapted to their business and their SMB customers.
Oxatis is now able to meet these needs, keeping with Marc Schillaci's ambition: "Provide SMBs with a high quality, powerful, reliable and affordable E-Commerce solution".

 | A graduate of the ESTP (Ecole Supérieure des Travaux Publics in Paris) and the ENSTA in Paris, Marc Schillaci developed Planit, the first business planning software program for PC projects in 1981, while at university. After teaching at the European Institute for CAD and leading multiple international conferences, he founded DFL in 1984, developing management software for large corporations, such as the Banque de France, AXA, Elf, Mobil, etc.
In 1988, he won the “Nef d’Or” from the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the best young entrepreneur.
In 1997, he founded and ran the R&D for Luxent Technologies (California).
In 1999, he launched “e-Biz in a Box” in the USA, which won over more than 15,000 e-merchants and allowed him to experiment with the technology and business model that would be used for Oxatis. Upon returning to France, Marc founded Oxatis in 2001.
